Troublesome images/memories contribute significantly to emotional, mental, behavioural, physical, social, motivational and spiritual problems that affect a person’s wellbeing. “Regenerating Images in Memory” (RIM) is an innovative technique that changes problematic schemas at the heart of personal problems. Creative and versatile in its ability to access and process unconscious memories and emotions, RIM can be used as a brief adjunctive technique alongside most other therapies. This paper describes RIM and the unique contribution it offers psychotherapists.
